Out of Character Rules
[1] Be Civil
That's self explanatory and it applies to members, visitors, and other sites. Remember we all represent our forum and we want to do it to the best of our abilities. If you have a problem with someone please take it to pm, or just dont say anything at all.
[2] No Chatspeak
Chatspeak on any level outside common things like LOL, BRB, OMG is not allowed in either cbox, and definitely not in the threads.
[3] Follow Proboard Rules
If its against their rules, its against ours.
[4] Be Creative
We don't want a Hogwarts full of just Gryffindors after all. This also means no Gary/Mary Sues. No OC's related to canons. And all special characters need approval (see below).
[5] Special Characters
You must get Admin approval for special characters (i.e anything that isn't normal like half breeds, vampires, Animagi, Metamorphmagus, etc.). If your character has a special trait, then they must have a great back story to back it up, and NOT be a Mary-Sue.
When in doubt, ask.
[6] Wait For Approval
Our staff members will review your character applications, and if you follow our guidelines then you will get a nice stamp of approval for you to join any open thread with them. If you don't get the stamp then you don't get to play until you make the revisions. Once that is done just let the staff member know and they will re-review it.
In Character Rules
[1] Keep it PG-13
This means:
-All sexual content must be fade-to-black and vague enough that it would make it into a PG-13 movie.
-Violence is permitted, but don't be overly graphic. Only kill characters with permission from the player and the Admin.
-Cursing is permitted, but don't abuse it.
[2] Use Basic Roleplay Decorum
Simply means do not god-mode, power-play, auto, etc. That's not cool and it can ruin a thread.
[3] Use Proper Grammar and Spelling.
We understand typos will be made and not everyone is a master of the English Language but we do expect you to try your best.
Role-player of all levels are accepted here, and we will do our best to teach new players the game, but this is a literate role-play forum and will be treated as such. You must make an effort.
[4] Read Thread Titles
Some threads are only for certain characters, this is stated in the title. So, if your character isn't one of the ones listed in the title, please don't join that thread unless you are invited.
